Services for James Edward Taylor will be held 2:00 pm Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Perkins officiating. The body will be cremated under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. James was the son of Jimmie Dale and Sharon Kay (Birdwell) Taylor. He was born on November 13, 1975 in Oklahoma City. James was raised in the Oklahoma City area where he attended school. Upon completion of his education James moved to West Tulsa in the early 1990ís and then moved to Cleveland. James worked installing highway lighting for several years before gaining employment with Pogue Electric Heating and Cooling. James later accepted employment with Davis Pipe Testing where he was employed at his time of death. James was a devoted husband, father, brother and friend. James always lived his life to the fullest. He was a hard worker and passionate about his job always putting forth 100% effort. Those that came in contact with James came to love him for who he was. James loved to Karoke, watch NASCAR, football, shooting pool and everything that kept him young at heart. Most of all James cherished the time spent with his daughter Elexis as well as his family and friends. James has been a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Cleveland for several years where he dedicated his life to the Lord on April 9, 2009. James passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of thirty-six years old following injuries received in a motor vehicle accident. Survivors are his wife Carol Taylor of Cleveland, Oklahoma, one daughter Elexis Taylor of the home, two step sons Cody and Jake, mother Sharon Bahajak of Cleveland, Oklahoma, father Jimmie Taylor of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, two brothers Dale Taylor and his wife Marta of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Donnie Taylor of Tulsa, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn his passing.
