James Brian Matlock

James Brian Matlock was born April 29, 1960 in Coffeyville, Kansas. He was the son of A. D. and Shirlee (Sneed) Matlock. James was raised and attended school in Stillwater, graduating from C. E. Donart High School with the Class of 1978. James attended truck driver training at Central Vo-Tech in Drumright and obtained his Commercial Drivers License. He drove many hours in the trucks provided for training at Central Vo-Tech and enjoyed driving. While residing in Shawnee, James worked for many years in the kitchen/cafeteria at Oklahoma Baptist University. James enjoyed traveling and enjoyed many road trips with is family. Memorable vacations included trips to; San Francisco, New York City, St. Louis, New Orleans as well as all over the United States and Canada. James passed from this life on Monday, December 22, 2014 in Lexington, Oklahoma at the age of fifty-four. He is survived by his parents, Dr. A. D. and Shirlee A. Matlock of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and a brother and his wife, A. D. and Shirley Matlock, III of Bixby, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Mark S. Matlock.
