Jacob Ray Towell, passed from this life on July 26, 2022, at the age of 57.
Jay was born on October 10, 1964, in Berlin, Germany; the son of Jesse Ray and Monika Alice (Paech) Towell. Jay grew up in a military family living in Germany, Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. In 1979, Jay moved with his family to Oklahoma and settled in Eufaula for many years in a community for adults with disabilities. In 2003, Jay moved to Cleveland where he continued to reside. Jay was employed with CSC in Cleveland for many years.
Jay was always intrigued by electronics and enjoyed creating speaker boxes and wiring stereos together. One of his hobbies also included putting 1,000-piece puzzles together as well as going to Walmart to find another favorite electronic. He was also a very big Star Trek fan and William Shatner was his favorite actor. He enjoyed watched funny movies like Top Secret and Police Academy.
Survivors are his mother Monika Towell of Cleveland, Oklahoma, three siblings Tommy Towell and his wife Melissa of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Lavaughn Towell of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, India Flager and her husband Jerry of Hallett, Oklahoma, nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives and friends. Jay was preceded in death by his father Jesse Towell and nephew Thomas Towell.
Private services will be held at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Pastor David Head officiating. Burial will be held in the Woodland Cemetery.
