Funeral services for Jackie Wilson will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Hominy, Oklahoma with Rev. Mark Formby officiating. Burial will follow in the A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Jackie was born June 11, 1941, in Gentry, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Millard and Louisa (Hendrickson) Keeling. At the age of eleven Jackie moved with her family to Cleveland, Oklahoma. Following the completion of her education Jackie gained employment in Tulsa, Oklahoma. On May 17, 1961, Jackie was united in marriage to Phillip Nolan Wilson. Following their marriage Jackie and Phillip resided in Cleveland for a short time before moving to Hominy where she has continued to reside. Jackie worked for several establishments some of them include the Hominy Hospital, Hominy City Hall as well as Trollmaster in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The job that Jackie really loved was working for the JTPA. JTPA was a program to prepare youth and unskilled adults for entry into the labor force and to provide job training to economically disadvantaged and other individuals facing serious barriers. The JTPA was later referred to as Work Force where Jackie retired from in the mid 1990Ãs. Jackie enjoyed doing arts and crafts. She would spend countless hours crocheting and knitting. Jackie always talked about how she was going to sell them but always seemed to give them away. Jackie also loved going and watching her grandchildren play sports. Growing African Violets always came as an easy task to Jackie however, growing other flowers and plants always seemed to not work out so well. Jackie passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years, seven months and four days. Survivors are her three children Phillip Randall Wilson of Hominy, Oklahoma; Kimberly Dawn Wilson of Hominy, Oklahoma, Travis Nolan Wilson of Hominy, Oklahoma; two grandsons Anthony Wilson, Tyler Wilson; three siblings, Joyce and her husband Jack Donnelly of Hallett, Oklahoma, Norman and his wife Marie Keeling of Cleveland, Oklahoma, and Pat Johnson of Cleveland, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Nolan Wilson and her parents Millard and Louisa Keeling.
