Jack Louis Staubus

Jack Louis Staubus, Jr., 66, of Cleveland, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 8, 2010. Jack was the son of Jack Louis, Sr. and Willia Jeanne (Hass) Staubus. He was born on August 23, 1943 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Jack began his education in Lawton. He also attended schools in Tacoma, Washington, Wichita, Kansas and later graduated high school from Casper, Wyoming in 1961. Jack later returned to Oklahoma and enrolled at the University of Oklahoma. In April of 1966, Jack joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. He returned to Oklahoma following his honorable discharge and completed his college education graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelors degree in Business Finance in 1971. On May 31, 1971, Jack was united in marriage to Renee Ann Tetreault in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Following their marriage, the couple moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Shortly there after, Jack and Renee moved to Plano, Texas where he worked as a residential relocation specialist. He helped families sell there current homes and purchase new homes following transfers by their companies. In 1981, Jack and Renee returned to Oklahoma and made their home on Keystone Lake in the Cleveland area where he has continued to reside. In the early 1990ís, Jack was forced into retirement. Jack loved to tinker on anything. He was always trying to make things ìbigger, faster and betterî. Jack spent numerous hours modifying motorcycles into a show piece as well as a proud Harley Davidson fan. Jack was very proud of his daughters and their families for their accomplishments. He enjoyed every moment he had with the grandchildren giving them rides on his scooter. Jack loved sharing his powdered sugar doughnuts and drawing Popeye anchor tattoos on his grandchildrenís arms. Jack also cherished the many years of meeting his buddies for breakfast particularly at the Hickory House. Survivors are his loving wife Renee of the home, two daughters Nicole Sparks and her husband Mark of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Leslie Little of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother Charles "Chuck" Staubus of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren Ava Little, Adley and Brennan Sparks as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Jack was preceded in death by his father Jack Louis Staubus, Sr. and his mother Willa Jeanne (Haas) Staubus. Mass service will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at the Saint Josephís Catholic Church with Father Bruce Brosnahan presiding assisted by Father Kerry Wakulich. Rosary will be 7:00 pm, Tuesday, at the Saint Josephís Catholic Church. Committal will follow in the Oak Park Cemetery at 3:30 pm, Wednesday in Chandler, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
