Irene Era Pigg was currently residing in Dierks, Arkansas when she passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at age 84 died.
Irene was born June 28, 1924 in Battiest, Oklahoma to John and Roxie (Wilcox) Lott. As a young girl Irene grew up and received her education in McCurtain County. After the completion of her education Irene was united in marriage to Joe Kinnaird in the early 1940's and to this union there are five children. Irene lived in several places including California, Colorado, Florida and Arizona. While residing in Flagstaff, Irene worked at the local J.C. Penney's store for several years. Irene later moved to Texas where she met Gordon Pigg. The couple was later united in marriage in Texarkana, Texas on March 13, 1970. The couple made their initial home in Texarkana later moving to Padre Island, Texas. In 1982, they moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma. After the death of Gordon, Irene continued to reside in Cleveland until several years ago. At that time Irene moved to Dierks, Arkansas to be closer to her brother.
Irene learned to quilt later in life and enjoyed making quilts for her family.
Survivors include her daughter Margaret A. Infield and her husband Joe of Barnsdall, Oklahoma, two sons Tom Kinnaird of California, Mike Kinnaird and his wife Sandy of Banner, Wyoming, one brother J.D. Lott of Dierks, Arkansas, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends as well as other grandchildren Nicholas, Maggie, Emily, Melinda and Tom.. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon Pigg, two sons Donnie and Johnny Kinnaird, five brothers and three sisters.
