Inez was born to Walter Raymond and Luetta Elizabeth (Estes) Powell on July 6, 1945 in Osage, Oklahoma. She left this world to join her parents on December 28, 2008 at the age of 63. Inez grew up in the Wild Horse area and Osage, Oklahoma where she began her education. She later graduated from Hominy High School with the class of 1963. After high school Inez accepted employment with Munsingwear and later attended Tulsa Technical College graduating in 1968. She began her banking career as a customer service clerk and worked various positions with banks and banking service companies across the nation in data processing and system conversions. Before retiring, she held positions as loan supervisor and branch operations officer. During the later years of her banking career she became a resident of Bixby, Oklahoma. In her retirement, she enjoyed reading and many craft projects. Inez was very talented in painting, jewelry making, needle work, and was always busy working in her flower gardens. She was a very caring person that loved her family and in addition, she took great care of her Pomeranians. She left behind her family to remember her which include her siblings Georgia Ann Gordon of Mannford, Oklahoma, Bobbie Hulet of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Ramona ìMonaî and husband Coyote Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Walter R. ìBudî Powell and Signe of Osage, Oklahoma and Leon L. and wife Carol Powell of Paris, Texas as well as a host of other relatives and friends that will always remember her out going ways. Preceding her in eternal rest are her parents Walter Raymond and Luetta Elizabeth (Estes) Powell, one nephew Jay Gordon and a niece Teresa (Gordon) Wilkins. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 31, 2008 in the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Head officiating. Burial will follow in the Osage Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
