Helen Doris Neal

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 14, 2010 in the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Joe Anglin officiating. Burial will follow in Stigler, Oklahoma at the Antioch Cemetery at 2:00 pm under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Helen Doris Neal was born on April 23, 1939 in Stigler, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Raymond Emmitt and Retha Bell (Coyle) Winford. As a young girl Helen began her education in Stigler and later moved with her family to Tulsa, Oklahoma. During her time in Tulsa, Helen attended Mark Twain Elementary, Madison Middle School as well as Central High School. At the completion of her education Helen was later united in marriage to Billy Keith Neal on July 3, 1958 in . Following their marriage the couple made their home in several locations throughout the United States due to the fact of Billy being in the United States Military. On October 1, 1979, following Billyís retirement the couple moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where they continued to reside until 2007. In 2007, Helen wanted to move closer to the lake as well as into the country so they moved to their current home in Osage. Helen had many hobbies but most of them included fishing, crocheting as well as going out on the boat with her family. On September 9, 2010, Helen passed from this life with her family at her side at the age of 71 years. Survivors include her loving husband Billy of the home, two sons Billy K. Neal II of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Clayton R. Neal of Osage, Oklahoma; one brother James R. Winford of Tulsa, Oklahoma as well as a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her sister Mary Lee Cope.
