Harold Francis Stottlemeyer, was born December 19, 1942 in Frederick, Maryland to Orville Hurley and Mazie Irene Stottlemeyer. As a young boy Harold grew up in Wolfsville, Maryland. After he completed his education he moved to Smithburg where he began working in the orchards. Harold continued working in the apple and peach orchards for many years before moving to Oklahoma. When Harold came to Tulsa he accepted employment with Blue Cross and Blue Shield in the maintenance department. Mr. Stottlemeyer worked at several different places through out his time but was last employed at the American Legion as a security guard.

Harold loved to spend his spare time fishing and camping in the outdoors.

Mr. Stottlemeyer passed away Monday, December 31, 2007 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years and 12 days. He was preceded in death by twin sisters Betty L. and Metty L. Stottlemeyer.

Surviving are his sister Doris Stottlemeyer, special friends Bob and Wilma Stanfill as well as his church family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, January 4, 2008, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Bishop Jeff Sellers officiating. Burial will be at 4:30 pm in the South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
