Gordon N. Robinson

Gordon Neal Robinson passed from this life on May 3, 2021 at the age of 78 in Blackburn, Oklahoma.

Gordon was born on February 1, 1943, in Canton, Ohio; the son of Thomas and Jewel (Dye) Robinson. At a young age Gordon moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma attended Central High School. Following high school Gordon joined the United State Army serving in Vietnam. During his time in the service Gordon obtained the following decorations and citations: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge and the Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster. Gordan was a member of the Company C 126th Infantry Division. Specialist Gordon Robinson was honorably discharged on August 31, 1966 and returned to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Gordon began working as a welder at Pawnee Steel and then later started driving a truck over the road and retired after 20 years of driving. On September 26, 2020, Gordon was united in marriage to Gearldine (Irwin) Pendergrass and the couple established their home in Blackburn.

Gordon enjoyed going fishing being around people and loved children very much. Spending time watching old Westerns was also enjoyable times for Gordon.

Survivors are Gerri of the home; two children Matthew and Gordy; siblings Sandra Whisenhunt, Diane Robinson, Larry Robinson, extended family Jimmie Wilson, Patty Wilson, David Wilson, Paula Donnelly, Peggy Crownover, seventeen grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Jewel Robinson, sister Joyce Robinson.

Services will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, May 10, 2021 at the Blackburn Cemetery. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Gordon at www.chapman-black.com.
