Glenda Gale Lindon passed away from this life on November 22, 2023, at the age of 77, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Glenda was born on July 5, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Cleo Clinton and Vivian Madeline (Dillman) Willis. Glenda grew up and attended school in Hominy, graduating with the Class of 1964. Following high school, Glenda attended Draughon Business School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. On May 29, 1965, Glenda was united in marriage to Keith Lindon at the Hominy First Christian Church, establishing their initial home in Sapulpa. Soon after their marriage, Keith was drafted into the service of his country. The couple resided in several locations, including Fort Huachuca, AZ, and lastly at Fort Benning, Georgia. They returned to Oklahoma in August of 1968, upon Keith's discharge. Glenda and Keith lived in Owasso and spent over thirteen years in the Tulsa area before moving to Hallett in 1981, where they continued to make their home. Glenda has worked as a data entry operator for several companies, including Shell Oil Company, Sun Oil Company, and American Airlines. She also was a service merchandiser for several years.
Glenda was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She always put others before herself. Glenda was always thoughtful about giving cards for special occasions. She was known at the beauty shop for her beautiful cards. She found great joy in giving cards, special gifts, and presents to family and friends. Making crocheted afghans and baby blankets for everyone was also meaningful to Glenda. One of her favorite places to visit with Keith was Branson, where she went to see the shows, go shopping, and visit the flea market. Glenda is described as a kind, caring, sweet person with a feisty and amazing soul.
Survivors are loving husband Keith Lindon of the home; two children Cristal Shawn and husband Chris, son Brian Lindon and Lori Dirckx; brother in law Darrel Lindon; grandchildren Katlyn Pyles and Sam, Emily Lindon, and Darion Tillery, James Shawn, Lyndsie Lindon, Mikaela Dirckx; great-grandchild Tyler Pyles and a host of other relatives and friends. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Vivian Willis, one sister, Wanda Eldridge, father-in-law Joyce Lindon and mother-in-law Ellen Lindon.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel with Dusty Giles officiating. The burial will be held in the Bethany Cemetery at Hallett, Oklahoma. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
