Virginia Pearl Williams, better known as Ginger to her family and friends passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at her home in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age 68 years old.
Ginger was born January 20, 1948, in Newton, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Grady Oran and Mildred Pearl Berry. Ginger moved with her family at a young age to Southern California. Ginger received her education in California. She later moved to Southeastern Oklahoma near McAlester in the early 1970’s. During her time there Ginger worked at the McAlester Oklahoma State Penitentiary. Ginger then moved to the Tulsa area and during that period she meet Harold Williams. The couple was later united in marriage on April 18, 2006. They established their home in Cleveland where she has continued to reside.
Ginger loved her family and friends dearly. Always wanting everyone to have fun and enjoy life. Ginger spent many hours working in her flower garden always wanting to plant more. She also enjoyed bird watching, tending to her chickens and especially being outdoors. Ginger spent time sewing and scrapbooking the memories of her family. One of her most memorable vacations was to Glacier National Park in Montana. She was apprehensive of the helicopter tour however by the time it was over she didn’t want it to end. Ginger was looking forward to their next trip to Yellowstone National Park. Ginger had a heart of gold, always wanting to help others and especially those in need. Ginger was an active member of Keystone Hills Baptist Church
Survivors are husband Harold of the home, three sons Tony Oloizia of Luther, Oklahoma, Doug Oloizia of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Mike Oloizia of Texas; five step children Susan and her husband Don Schmidt of Bixby, Oklahoma, Douglas and his wife Anne Williams of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Sandra and her husband Mark Kubecka of Tulsa, Oklahoma, George and his wife Dianne Williams of Auburn, Michigan, Robert Williams and his wife Shelly of Pinconning, Michigan; brother Gregory Oran Watson and his wife Branka of Australia; fifteen grandchildren Rebecca, Jessy, Jacob, Michael, Andrew, Grady, Ezra, Melissa, Lilly, Chris, Alex, Sammy, Josh, Christina, Melissa; nine step grandchildren Kari, Kirk, Ashely, Matt, Ryan, Zachary, Collin, Colton, Clara, two step great grandchildren Gavin and Jack as well as many other relatives and friends. Ginger was preceded in death by her parents, sister Patricia Watson-Cole and a granddaughter Samantha Oloizia.
Memorial services will be held January 21, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at Keystone Hills Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Bane officiating. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com.
