Geraldine Marie ìGerryî Wineinger, lifelong Cleveland area resident, passed from this life on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa at the age of ninety. Gerry was born on April 6, 1923 in Cleveland, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Clarence and Loma Pearl (Taylor) Baker. She was raised and started school in Cleveland School in September of 1930 and graduated from Cleveland High School with the Class of 1941. Gerry was accepted Christ as her personal savior and was baptized at the First Christian Church on November 27, 1939. Upon graduation from high school, Gerry worked at numerous locations in Cleveland in their accounting departments, accepting a position as accounts payable clerk with Osage Oil and Transportation in 1963. She was employed for Osage Oil for nearly twenty-one years before her retirement in 1984. Geraldine was married to Dean Wineinger on January 2, 1952 in Benton County, Arkansas. Although the couple ultimately divorced they remained close friends until Dean passed away on March 4, 1995. Gerry enjoyed traditional worship music including, Whispering Hope, Farther Along and Amazing Grace. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Loma Pearl Taylor and her only sister, Helen Maxine Baker who died as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident at an early age. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Chapel of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Gene Black officiating. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
