Funeral services for Geoffrey Daniel Reeves, will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, July 3, 2015, at the Western Heights Baptist Church with Rev. David Head officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends may share a memory with the family online at Geoff's Tribute Wall at www.chapman-black.com Geoff was born on October 1, 1987 in Shattuck, Oklahoma. He was the son of Danny Brett and Leslie Carol (Taylor) Reeves. Geoff grew up in Woodward and Amarillo until he was the age of seven. Geoff then moved to be with his dad to the Cleveland area where he began attending first grade in Terlton. Following the closure of the Terlton School Geoff began attending school in Cleveland where he later graduated with the Class of 2006. During the time Geoff was in school he was a active part of the Cleveland Band and Jazz Band. Following high school Geoff attended Northeastern State University. After a year of college Geoff moved to Amarillo, Texas and worked at Target and Walmart as a night stocker. After settling down in the Tulsa area Geoff accepted employment at Elixir Spirits where he has worked for the past seven years and was currently the assistant manager. Geoff picked up the ability to play the guitar from his father who taught him how to play at young age. Geoff also was a wonderful graphic artist. He learned the skill during the time he attended Drumright Vo-Tech in high school. He was a musical genius with a very eccentric personality. Geoff was a very thoughtful person who had a deep philosophical side. Geoff would always attend brewing shows and interacted with microbrewery's to help find the perfect recipe and was thought of as a beer connoisseur. Geoff was a wonderful guitarist and would often play at local coffee houses and bars in the area. Geoff was a homebody who loved playing his guitar. He especially loved being with his son Abel and family as well as being quick with a joke. Geoff passed from this life on Saturday, June 27, 2015, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the young age of twenty seven years. Survivors are his son Abel Joshua Reeves of Tulsa, Oklahoma; father Dan Reeves and his wife Holly of Cleveland, Oklahoma, mother Leslie Taylor Reeves of Inola, Oklahoma; four siblings Tiffany Wilson and her husband Jason of Coweta, Oklahoma, Derek, Eric, and Jessica Reeves of Cleveland, Oklahoma; maternal grandmother Connie Taylor Veader of Amarillo, Texas; aunt Andre' Jean Velasquez and uncle Michael Salvador Valasquez, Sr. of Amarillo, Texas; cousin Charles Anthony Potter of Weatherford, Texas and numerous other relatives and friends that will mourn his passing. Geoff was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather George Lewis Taylor and paternal grandparents George Glenn and Lois Erleane Reeves.
