Gary Logan Hall of Terlton, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at his home at the age of 66 years, nine months and eleven days.
Gary was born November 13, 1949, in Elys, Kentucky. He was the son of Lloyd G and Norma Josephine (Cook) Hall. Gary began his education in Kentucky and later moved with his family to Cincinnati, Ohio. Gary later graduated from Almont High School in 1967. Following high school Gary joined the United States Army. Gary remained in the military December 14, 1970, when he was honorably discharged. Gary then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. While residing in Albuquerque, Gary met Deborah Lee Steinepreis. The couple were united in marriage on July 4, 1972. Gary and Deborah later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where they remained until the mid 1980’s. They lived in various towns until they settled in their current home in Terlton, Oklahoma in 1988.
Gary loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar with anyone who wanted to jam. He played with a variety of bands for many years and each often included some family member. When he wasn’t playing music, Gary was either listening to it or was watching an old western or sci-fi movie. Gary is described as witty, private, tenacious, humble, and rebellious. Gary loved motorcycles and rode them like a wild man. Gary was a man that would do anything for anyone that needed help.
Survivors are his wife and best friend Deborah of the home; mother Norma Hall of Cleveland, Oklahoma; seven children Jason Hall and his wife Susan of Jennings, Oklahoma, Tonya Garrett and her husband Aaron of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Denay Hall of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Seth Hall and his wife Erin of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tashia Hall of Wichita, Kansas, Sebastian Hall and his wife Anna of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Karley Schaper and her husband Mikey of Ochelata, Oklahoma; six siblings Willie Scott and his wife Lena of Madison, Tennessee, Dwayne Hall and his wife Lena of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Susan Farrell of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Betty Harrold and her husband Mark of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Shirley Booker and her husband Jay of Eucha, Oklahoma, Phillip Hall and his wife Lisa of Cleveland, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren Tosha, Alecia, Zack, Sarah, Gabby, Madelyn, Liam, Emily, Everett, Emery, Gavin and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his father, Gary was preceded by a brother, Brian Moore.
Visition will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 9:00 am till 1:00 pm at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home. At 1:00 pm a Gathering will also be at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Following the services, the body will be cremated and later interred in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
