Lee Wheeler, passed away peacefully, March 28, 2017, in Burkburnett, TX where he lived. He was the manager of Turtle Hole Auto Bath in Burkburnett for many years. Gary was born in Hominy, Oklahoma on May 17, 1951. He was the son of Boyd L. Wheeler and Marie Dixon Wheeler. He grew up in Cleveland and attended Cleveland Schools. Gary loved motorcycles, dogs and the last years of his life he had a cat he was crazy about. Gary also loved to preach the Gospel. His favorite scripture to preach was John 11:25-26. He said it “gave hope to the worst circumstances and eternal life”. Gary is survived by a son, Gary Lee Wheeler, Jr., of Arkansas; 2 daughters, Melissa Truett of Arkansas and Nora Wheeler of Michigan, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, his mother, Marie Caldwell, and a sister, Gloria Hall and her husband, Tom, of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his father, a daughter, Lela Wheeler and a grandson. Memorial services will be held Saturday, 11 am, May 20, 2017 at Chapman Black Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Cleveland, Oklahoma. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
