Gary Gene Blevins

Funeral services for Gary Blevins will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, November 15, 2013, at Lake Area Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Dan Doss officiating. Burial will follow in the Dixie Bear Creek Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Gary Gene Blevins passed from this life on Monday, November 11, 2013, at his home in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age of 51 years, six months and seventeen days. Gary was born April 25, 1962, in Yuma, Arizona. He was the son of Oscar Claude and Carole Inez (Harris) Blevins. Gary grew up in the Yuma, Arizona area where he completed his education. After high school Gary began working with his father driving a truck. After several years in the California and Arizona area Gary moved to Oklahoma in 1991. He was later united in marriage to Rhonda Sue Reeves on January 29, 1993. Gary has worked at several places including Asplunde Tree Service, Mill Creek Lumber, Hope Lumber and 84 Lumber. Gary has also worked at Superior Well in Cleveland until the closure of the operation. Gary was currently employed at Morrow Gill Lumber for the past couple of years. Gary was an avid NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was Tony Stewart. Gary loved his family dearly and enjoyed being around each and every one of them. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart as well. Gary is described as an amazing husband, father and grandfather. Survivors are his wife Rhonda of the home; one son Jerry John, Jr. and fiance Skyler Thompson of Hominy, four daughters Ashley Jacobson and her husband Tyler of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Robyn Denning and Joe of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Amy Mobley of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Racheal James of Cleveland; twelve grandchildren Raven, Zowy, James, Zayden, Kaysen, Jaylynn, Tyler, Timothy, Victoria, Angel, Annalynn and Elliot three brothers Brian Blevins of Arizona, Christopher Blevins of Arizona, Brent Blevins of California. He was preceded in death by mother Carole Inez Blevins nee (Harris), father Oscar Claude Blevins, one daughter Kristi Blevins and a grandson Cordell Denning.
