Services for Freida Bledsoe will be held Monday, January 2nd, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland, Oklahoma, as well as the viewing on Sunday, January 1st, 2017. Pastor Steve Quinnelly of the Mannford Christian Fellowship will be officiating.
Dorothy Freida Bledsoe was a Tulsa resident for many years, but was living at Cimarron Pointe Care Center in Mannford, Oklahoma. She was born August 5th, 1919 in Osage, Oklahoma to John Benjamin and Carrie Ann (Miller) Kreisvelt. She was raised and received her education in the Cleveland area. Freida was united in marriage to Leamon Bledsoe in Hominy, Oklahoma and made their home in Terlton where they lived for over 30 years before making their home in Tulsa in 1976. Freida was a strong, vibrant, energetic, always-happy, fun-loving, silly little lady. Her laughter (cackle) would fill every crevice of a room and bring a smile to everyone in ears range. If music was playing, you can guarantee she was dancin’ her jig.
Freida entered Heaven’s Gates peacefully while sleeping on December 28th, 2016 at the amazing age of 97 years, 4 months, and 23 days.
Freida was preceded in death by her husband Leamon; her parents; two brothers John and Foster Kreisvelt; and sisters Ethel McMillen, Maurine Sanderson, and Ruby Waltrip.
She is survived by her two sons, Bobby Bledsoe and his wife Patty, and Donnie Bledsoe and his wife Linda; four grandchildren, Rodney and his wife Sasha, Kimberly, Kenneth, and Danny and his wife Paige; three great-grandchildren, Nicole, Isabella, and Ryan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and countless loving friends.
