Frank Edwin Peterman

Frank Edwin Peterman passed from this life January 27, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He was born May 2, 1934, in old Keystone, Oklahoma to Amyle Arnold and Nellie Blanch (Boothe) Peterman. As a young boy, Edwin grew up in the Keystone area attending school at Rigsby. Later transferring to Cleveland High School graduating with the Class of 1952. Following graduation, Edwin started working at Kerr Glass. Edwin was then drafted into the Army where he spent two years. Following his honorable discharge, Edwin returned to Keystone. He soon gained employment at Kerr Glass once again this time working as a die and mold machinist. Edwin later retired following the closure plant, he retired after 40 years. Edwin was a licensed cosmetologist.

Edwin loved farming, gardening, animals and raising cattle out on the homeplace. Edwin was the Secretary/Treasurer of the Keystone Peninsula Property Owners Association (KPPOA). With a love for history, wrote the “History Here” section of their quarterly newsletter. Edwin was known for spending hours combing through antiques hunting for the right piece.

Edwin was preceded in death by his parents Amyle Arnold Peterman and Nellie Blanch (Booth) Peterman; sisters, Juanita Collings, Elnora Dawson and Wilma Lillie Gray; brothers, Amyle A. Peterman, Tommy Peterman; and infant sister, Arnolene Peterman. Edwin is survived by three sisters, Lela Davis, Frankie Wallace, and Armina Scott.

Services for Edwin will take place Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Westport Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Edwin’s final resting place is at Sinnett Cemetery on the Keystone Peninsula. Services are entrusted to the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
