Frances Louise Stephens Glasgow passed from this life on March 22, 2021, at the age of 92 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Frances was born on April 26, 1928, in Smyrna near Ardmore, Oklahoma; the daughter of James and Georgia (Riner) Pass. Frances grew up in the Ardmore area of Oklahoma graduating from Healdton High School. Following high school Frances was united in marriage to James Stephens and to that union there are two children James Richard and Rebecca Louise. Frances worked as a secretary for many years later being promoted to office manager for a large insurance company in Corpus Christi, Texas. On April 28, 2005, Frances and Leland Lesley Glasgow were united in marriage in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Following their marriage Frances and Leland remained in Corpus Christi. In 2006, they moved to Cleveland where they have continued to reside.
During the time Frances and James were married they were active with the square dance club, Grand Chapter of Texas Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. After her marriage upon moving to Cleveland hosting Thanksgiving dinners and decorating for the Christmas Holidays, Philomathic Study Club, and St. Bede's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her husband Leland of the home, two children James Stephens of Houston, Texas, Rebecca Counts and her husband George of Florida; step daughters Lynda Houchin and her husband John of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kay Osburn and her husband Butch of Hominy, Oklahoma, Gayla Smith and her husband Darrell of Cleveland, Oklahoma, three grandchildren Jennifer, Christiane and Danial, beloved dog Sadie as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by parents and her husband James.
Church services will be held 10:00 am, Sunday March 28, 2021, at the St. Bede's Episcopal Church. Burial will follow on 2:00 pm, Monday, March 29, 2021 at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
