Ethel Maxine Creekmore, 86, of Terlton, passed from this life on Sunday, February 4, 2018, in Perry, Oklahoma.
Maxine was born November 20, 1931, the daughter of Louis Hezakiah and Elizabeth Christina (Niehoff) Potts. Maxine was raised in the Terlton area where she attended school. Following the completion of her education she was united in marriage to Clifford Merl Creekmore on July 12, 1950, and to this union, there are two sons Jason and Matt. They took several trips to California and lived there for a while, then returned to Terlton where she has continued to reside.
Maxine loved to go with Bob and Vada to Colorado. She also enjoyed taking the kids yearly to Silver Dollar. Maxine always looked forward to attending Blue Grass Festivals. Maxine was a longtime member of the Terlton Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son Matthew Creekmore of Cleveland, Oklahoma; one brother Bob Potts and his wife Vada Potts of Terlton, Oklahoma, one sister Louise Whittenburg of Terlton, Oklahoma as well as numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Elizabeth Potts, sisters Wanda Potts and Wilma Spencer, brothers Dale Potts, Walter “Fuzzy” Potts and a son Jason Creekmore.
Committal services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at the Terlton Cemetery. Friends may share a memory about Maxine online at www.chapman-black.com. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangments.
