Estella Virginia Miller, longtime Cleveland resident, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Cimarron Pointer Care Center in Mannford at the age of ninety-two.
Virginia was born in Chetopa, Labette County, Kansas on February 25, 1925. She was the daughter of James H. and Belle Amy (Lee) Gwinn. Virginia moved with her family at the age of eight to Cleveland. She received her education in the Cleveland Public School System.
Virginia was married to Eugene Fox on December 28, 1951. The couple made their home in Cleveland throughout their marriage raising a son, Dennis Wayne Fox. Virginia was a charter member of the First Assembly of God Church in Cleveland where she served as a Sunday School teacher for nearly sixty years. She was available to assist her church in any capacity she was called upon to do. Her husband, Eugene also served the church in the capacity of Deacon for many years. Gene preceded her in death on May 7, 1982. For several years, Virginia operated a daycare in her home and also at the church.
She was married to Harry Miller in 1985 and the couple continued to participate in the Assembly of God Church as Harry also served as a Deacon. Her son, Dennis Wayne Fox preceded her in death on April 26, 1991. She was then preceded in death by her husband, Harry on February 9, 2014.
Virginia was a loving and caring Christian woman who could best be described as similar to the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31:10-31. She loved everyone and was kind and a friend to all. She lived her life for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and continuously displayed the characteristics of being filled with the fruits of the spirit, love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
She is survived by a grandson, Dewayne Fox; two step daughters, Wanda Potter and Paula Spencer; her church family and many other friends and relative that will mourn her passing.
Virginia was buried in Woodland Cemetery next to her first husband, Gene Fox on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
