Funeral services for Elouise Faye Johnson better known as Lou will be held 2:00 pm Friday, December 28, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Oilton, Oklahoma with Pastor Larry Calvert officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Lou was born on April 10, 1940 in Osage, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Austin Harry and Stella Mae (Estes) Powell. As a young girl Lou was raised and began her education in Osage. At the completion of her education Lou gained employment with Munsingwear in Hominy, Oklahoma. On June 1, 1962, Lou was united in marriage to Muggyown Johnson in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Following their marriage Lou and Muggy established their home East of Hallett. In 1967, the couple moved to their current home South of Jennings where they have continued to reside. Lou loved to work in the garden, cross-stitch and take care of her yard. Lou also enjoyed cooking. She always had a plate ready for anyone when it was time to eat. Lou also made some of the best date candy and Hershey bar log. Lou was the best mother and always treated her daughters friends just like her own. As Roby and Roni were growing up Lou was a very active part of their life; never missing any of their sports or activities. Most of all in life Lou loved each and every one of her kids, grandkids and family very much. Robyn and Roni refers to their mother as their hero and a very brave woman. Lou went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Monday, December 24, 2012, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years, eight months and fourteen days. Survivors are her husband of over 50 years, Muggy of the home, two daughters Robyn Johnson of Jennings, Oklahoma, Roni Johnson of Jennings, Oklahoma, two brothers Fred Powell of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Junior Powell of Eureka, Kansas; one sister Ruth Gilliland of Corpus Christi, Texas; four grandchildren Zachary James of Oilton, Oklahoma, Candace James of Jennings, Oklahoma, Caleb Dyer of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Angel Dyer of Cleveland, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents Lou was preceded in death by three sisters, Shirley Allembaugh, Patty Rae Smith, Betty Moore; two brothers Dale Estes and Bill Powell.
