Elnora Lucille Williams was born April 23, 1923 in Oilton, Oklahoma; the youngest child of Samuel Graham and Minnie Mae (Holmes) Brown. She moved frequently with her family during her childhood throughout Northeastern Oklahoma, attending school in Collinsville. Elnora spent a significant amount of her childhood with her grandmother and aunt. She was married to Willie Scroggins in 1940 and the couple made their initial home in the Tulsa area where they raised their three children, Clifford, Amilee and Louise. Following a divorce from Mr. Scroggins, Elnora moved to California in 1960 and later married Otis Williams. They resided in Niland, California and Mr. Williams preceded her in death in 1980. Elnora continued to reside in Niland until she moved to Sand Springs in 1997 to be closer to her two daughters. For the next fourteen years, Elnora spent time residing with her two daughters in their homes in Sand Springs and Tulsa. After falling and breaking her hip, Elnora moved last year to the Grace Living Center in Jenks where she passed from this life on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the age of eighty-eight. Mrs. Williams was an extremely talented musician; she has played the guitar and enjoyed singing country and gospel music since she was young. She taught her children to also play the guitar and sing; often singing gospel songs together. She also loved to go camping in the desert. Elnora is survived by her two children Amilee Chase of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Louise Furr and her husband John of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren; twenty seven plus great grandchildren and fifteen plus great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by mother Minnie Mae Brown; father Samuel Graham; brother Clifford Graham; two sisters Willie Mae Gray and Pearle Casey; one son Clifford William Scroggins and a great granddaughter Chantell Stroup. Funeal services will be held at the Chapel of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Pastor David Stroup officiating. Burial will be at the Highland Cemetery in Oilton, Oklahoma under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
