Funeral services for Elizabeth Ann Bejcek will be held 10:30 am, Thursday, December 30, 2010, at the Western Heights Baptist Church with Chaplain Marvel Barron officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Cemetery in Hallett, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Elizabeth was born on February 2, 1929, in Shamrock, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of William "Edd" McKinley and Martha Jane (Edwards) Hawkins. As a young girl Elizabeth was raised in Drumright, Oklahoma where she began her education. During her time in school Elizabeth was a member of the Drumright Drum and Bugle Corps. Later in 1946, Elizabeth graduated from Hallett High School. Shortly after graduation Elizabeth was united in marriage to Frank Mathie Bejcek in Sedan, Kansas on September 22, 1946. After their marriage the couple established their initial home in Seminole, Oklahoma. They later moved to Sand Springs, Oklahoma where they remained until 1954. At that time Elizabeth and Frank moved to the Cleveland area. In 1967, Elizabeth and Frank moved to Stillwater. During her time in Stillwater Elizabeth began working as a nurse's aide at the local hospital. Elizabeth and Frank continued to live in Stillwater until 1981, when they moved to the family farm near Hallett. Elizabeth later began working at the Cleveland Area Hospital for several years as a nurse's aide before her retirement. Elizabeth enjoyed sewing, quilting and canning the vegetables and fruits that she and Frank grew. On many occasions Elizabeth canned several hundred jars of fruits and vegetables during the summer time. She also enjoyed giving quilts to her family and friends after taking numerous hours stitching. Mrs. Bejcek enjoyed traveling with her girls. She went on several trips throughout the United States. Several of the places Elizabeth reminisced about were the times spent at Natchez, Mississippi touring the antebellum homes as well visiting Graceland and San Antonio, Texas. Holiday time was special to Elizabeth. She was always looking forward to seeing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Elizabeth was also the family historian because of her ability to recall things of the past in great detail. Elizabeth Ann Bejcek went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sunday evening, December 26, 2010 at her home near Hallett at the age of 81 years 10 months and 24 days. Survivors are her four daughters Deedee Bejcek of Maramec, Oklahoma, Martha and Paul Wiesendanger of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Cindy Bejcek of Maramec, Oklahoma, Frankie Jo and Mike Turner of Stillwater, Oklahoma; three brothers Floyd Hawkins and his wife Berniece of Hobbs, New Mexico, Eddie Hawkins and his wife Bettie of Hobbs, New Mexico, Lendell Hawkins and his wife Cathy of Artesia, New Mexico; one sister Linda Ball and her husband Clarence of Hobbs, New Mexico; four grandchildren Preston Wiesendanger of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Noah Wiesendanger of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Pamela and Shane Stokes of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Michael Joe Turner of Stillwater, Oklahoma and two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Frank M. Bejcek, one son Paul Howard Bejcek, one sister Louise Blackburn and one brother Bob Hawkins
