Edward Lee Chapman, known to friends as "Ed or Eddie," passed away on September 27, 2018, at the age of 61 years.
An Oklahoma native, Ed was born in Bartlesville, Ok on September 2nd, 1957 and was raised in Mannford, Ok. He attended schools in Mannford and also went to school for a brief period in Atlanta, Georgia. At age 19, Ed met the love of his life, Karen Louise Varnell. He would be married to her for 41 years and be responsible for two children and 5 grandchildren. The two would eventually make their home in Terlton where Ed lived out the rest of his years.
Ed was employed for many years as an accomplished plumber and enjoyed fishing, football, basketball, golf and many other sports. He was an avid fan of Tiger Woods, The University of Oklahoma, and The Oklahoma City Thunder.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Karen Chapman; also by Shaun Chapman (son) and his wife Nikki; Tiffany Chapman (Daughter); brother Bob Haley, sister Diane Beadnell, and Kelly Chapman; Grandchildren-Marin, Maddie, Dylan, Marley, and Stella and numerous other nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Chapman and Shirley Behrens.
A Celebration of Ed’s life will be held at 10:30 am, on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at New Hope Baptist Church in Mannford with Pastor Manuel Parker officiating and under the direction of Chapman Black Funeral Home.
