Services for Edith Marie Hall will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at the Woodland Cemetery Chapel in Cleveland, Oklahoma with Dr. Larry Wilson officiating. Friends may share a memory with the family from 11:00 am till 1:00 pm at the funeral home or online at www.chapman-black.com. Burial in the Woodland Cemetery are under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc. of Cleveland, Oklahoma. Edith was born February 25, 1918 the daughter of John Isaiah and Lucy (Speck) Hearron. As a young girl Edith grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma where she attended school. She also attended schools in Colorado. At the completion of her education Edith was united in marriage to Cleo Hall in Bentonville, Arkansas on August 18, 1936. After their marriage the couple established their initial home in Cleveland, Oklahoma. In 1946, Edith and Cleo moved to Oregon. While residing in Oregon, Edith worked at a local dime store as well as on a local farm harvesting fruits and vegetables. The couple then returned to Cleveland, Oklahoma in December of 1949. Edith soon opened HallÃs self serve laundry mat in Cleveland. She continued operating the family business until the early 1960's. After the death of her husband Cleo, Edith began residing with her children Violet and Glen. Since 1973, Edith has been permanently residing in Tahlequah with her granddaughter Linda. Mrs. Hall enjoyed reading, sewing, country western music as well as camping. She also enjoyed the time she spent visiting with her family and friends. Edith Marie Hall formerly of Cleveland, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, July 13, 2008 at the Grace Living Center in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age 90. Survivors include her daughter Violet Phillips and her husband Robert of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; son Glen Hall and his wife Dee of Mannford, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Hall; one son Melvin Cleo Hall; one grandson, Jacob Lewis Hall; two brothers Homer Hearron and Burke Hearron as well as two sisters, Bertha Clark and Letha Deckard.
