Earnest E. Pollard

Funeral services for Earnest Eugene Pollard Sr. will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Graveside services will be at the Terlton Cemetery in Terlton, Oklahoma with Robert Hardbuck Jr. officiating. Burial is under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.

Earnest was born August 7, 1941, in Muskogee County, Oklahoma. He was the son of William Henry and Mollie Mae (Johnson) Pollard. Earnest was raised and attended school in Muskogee, Earnest knew the meaning of work he and his family worked an acre farm and Earnest picked cotton and cared for the animals, from the money he earned he bought his first bicycle. A few years later in Fort Gibson he met and married the love of his life Sandra Gilbert, the happy couple had been married 52 years. Later they moved to the Terlton area where they have resided for over 32 years. Earnest took a job at the Fibercast Company in Sand Springs, Oklahoma working as a lead man for 35 years. He loved to fish and deer hunt, earnest loved all kinds of animals but he especially loved cats.

Earnest was preceded in death by his parents one brother; Roger Dale Jones and one sister; Georgia Wanda (Deannie) Roberts. Earnest is survived by his wife Sandra of the home, one son; Earnest (Earnie) Eugene Pollard Jr., sisters; Florence Claunts, Clara McVicker, Tauncie Harbuck, Phyllis Kelough, Sandra Butler, and Kimberley Main, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
