Earnest Dale Sissom, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, Oklahoma died the morning of Saturday, July 7, 2012 in a fatal vehicle accident south of Cleveland. He was born July 9, 1946, the son of Armond Lunsford and Mable Mildred Sissom. He attended Cleveland Schools throughout. Upon his graduation he joined the United States Army. After his tour of duty he returned home, married for a number of years, working as an overhead crane operator for CE Natco until their relocation out of the area. He then worked for many years at Cleveland X-Ray. For the remainder of his years he was a great help to many people in the area as a handyman. With artistic talents he made ship crafting and bird houses with endless designs and beauty. Mr. Sissom is survived by two brothers, Walter and Herbert, a sister Viola Mary, a daughter and two granddaughters and a host of friends and family that will mourn his passing. Memorial services will be held Friday, July 13 at 10:00 am at Westport Baptist Church, Westport, Oklahoma. Memorial Services will be under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
