Earl Thomas Ready, Sr.

Earl Thomas Ready, Sr. was born October 20, 1933 in Tulsa, Oklahoma; the son of Frank and Marguerite (Zylks) Ready, Sr.. Earl was raised in the the Turley area where he attended Cherokee Elementary and Cherokee Junior High School. In his freshman years of high school, Earl transferred to Central High in Tulsa and graduated with the Class of 1951. Upon completion of his education, Earl accepted employment with Hinderliter Tool Company as a machinist assisting in the manufacturing of oil-field well-drilling products. On October 22, 1952, Earl was married to Charlene Dennison at the First Methodist Church in Turley, Oklahoma. The couple made their initial home in Tulsa, residing there until 1967; raising five sons, Earl, Jr., Phillip Leigh, Chuck, Ronnie and Sam and one daughter, Ann. The family moved to Cleveland in 1967 where they have continued to reside. During his career in the oil and pipeline business, Earl worked for Precision Products and Bigheart Pipeline before establishing his own company, Ready Pipeline in 1976. Earl has enjoyed working with salvage and junk items since he was twleve years old. He often said that these items were someoneís reusable material. He and his son Ronnie, began operating their own business in 1980. Earl could often be seen hauling trailers full of reusable material for someoneís use. Earl was an active member of the Saint Jospeh Catholic Church in Cleveland.. He converted to the Catholic faith in the early 1960ís. He and Charlene have been an intregal part of the Catholic Church in Cleveland for many years. Earl was mainly motivated and was most happy when he was working. He did stop on occasion to share in family vacations which included trips to Hawaii, Corpus Christi and South Padre in Texas, and Niagra Falls. He will be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather, and someone who would help anyone in need. Earl passed from this life on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa at the age of seventy-eight. He was preceded in death by fathaer Frank Randolph Ready, Sr.; mother Marguerite Josephine Ready; four brothers Jack, Ray, Frank, Jr. and James Ready; five infant sisters; two sons, Earl Thomas Ready, Jr. and Phillip Leigh Ready; two grandchildren Michael Andrew Ready, Jeremy Allan Warren; and three great grandchildren Wyatt and Madison Ready and Adysun Warren Donnelly. He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Charlene of the home; three sons, Chuck Ready and wife Sabrina of Terlton, Oklahoma; Sam Ready and wife Denise of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Ronnie Ready of Cleveland, Oklahoma; daughter, Ann Ready Warren and husband Randy of Jennings, Oklahoma; mother-in-law, Marguerite Pease Dennison of Cleveland, Oklahoma; two sisters-in-law Cloda Ready of Skiatook, Oklahoma; Sammie Harmon of Cleveland, Oklahoma, two brothers-in-law George Dennison and wife Denise of Claremore, Oklahoma, Frank Kendall and wife Jeannie of Sperry, Oklahoma, twenty- one grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
