Douglas Barlow Frazier, a resident of Skiatook, was born April 18, 1949 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Herman R. and Patricia Ann (Barlow) Frazier. Doug was reared in Hominy and graduated from Hominy High School in 1967. He graduated in 1973 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Zoology from Oklahoma State University. In 1971, Doug was united in marriage to Susie (Timmerman) in Midland, Texas, and to this union there are two children, Genan and Luke.

Doug accepted employment in the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation-Fisheries Division in the Research Lab and Field Services at the Lake of the Arbuckle. On November 6, 1973, Doug joined the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife as a Game Ranger. His first assignment was in Craig County where he worked for six years. He transferred to Rogers County then later to Osage County. 1979 was a significant year in Doug's professional career. He was awarded ODWC Game Warden of the Year, the Shikar Safari International Award and The Wildlife Professional of the Year from the Bow-Hunting Council of Oklahoma. Doug was promoted to Lieutenant in 2000 and in 2005; he was named Captain and District Chief.

Doug enjoyed all outdoor activities including hunting and fishing, golf, gardening and cowboying. He enjoyed his profession and repeatedly commented how lucky he was to have a job he truly loved. Doug loved sports and was an avid coach and follower of his son's athletic endeavors since childhood and especially these past three years following Luke's collegiate football career at Oklahoma State University. Doug was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church in Hominy.

Doug passed away November 30, 2005 in Hominy, Oklahoma at the age of 56 years 7 months and 12 days. His father Herman Frazier preceded him in death in September of 2001.

Surviving are his two children, Genan Westmoland of Skiatook, Oklahoma; Luke Frazier of Stillwater, Oklahoma; mother Patty Frazier of Bella Vista, Arkansas; fiancÈe Sandra Drummond of Hominy, Oklahoma; three brothers Dick Frazier and wife Susan of Dallas, Texas; Dan Frazier and wife Kaye of Hominy, Oklahoma; Will Frazier and wife Jill of Marlow, Oklahoma; four grandchildren Rustin, Jace, Carter and Kade Westmoland all of Skiatook, Oklahoma, and a host of relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2005 at 1:00 pm in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church in Hominy with Rev. Gary McDevitt officiating. Private interment will be at the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy. Services are under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc. in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
