Dortha Charlotte Sullivan was born July 12, 1941 in rural Pawnee County near Keystone, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Jerry and Dortha Dollie (Zickefoose) Cunningham. Charolotte was raised and attended her early education in Keystone later transferring to Cleveland where she graduated from Cleveland High School in 1959. Upon graduation from high school, Charlotte attended Draughon Business School in Tulsa where she studied bookkeeping and accounting. Shortly after completion of business school, Charlotte was married to Curtis "Sarge" Carrington and the couple made their home in Cleveland. In the early 1960's, Charlotte accepted a position at the Brookside Bank on South Peoria in Tulsa. She later was promoted to the position of loan officer and continued to work at the bank after it was sold to Bank of Oklahoma in 1993; retiring in 2005 with over thirty years of service. Charlotte was later married to Cecil Sullivan and they made their home in Tulsa for several years. Charlotte enjoyed traveling and made memorable trips to Europe as well as Colorado, California and the Grand Canyon. She loved the outdoors; especially her time in the garden. She raised chickens, turkeys and peacocks and enjoyed watching them in the yard. She also loved to watch the Red Birds that often came into her yard. She also enjoyed spending time with her cats. Charlotte was an avid Oklahoma City Thunder fan and the Thunder Boys. She especially enjoyed the rock and roll music of the 50's and 60's. Charlotte passed from this life on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at her home near Cleveland at the age of seventy-three. She was preceded in death by her father Jerry Cunningham and her mother Dortha Cunningham. She is survived by her two children, Curtis Carrington II of Cleveland, Oklahoma and Charece Carson and her husband, Duane of Cleveland, Oklahoma; two grandchildren Colton Carson of Cleveland, Oklahoma and Ryan Carson of Mannford, Oklahoma; two great grandchildren Peyton and Boomer Carson of Mannford, Oklahoma; uncle Doyle "Buddy" Zickefoose; and numerous other family and friends who will mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held at10:30 am Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Chapman-Black FuneralHome with Rev. David Head officiating. Friends may share a memory with the family at the funeral home or online at www.chapman-black.com. Interment will be at the Sinnett Cemetery.
