Donna Marie Lamascus

Donna Marie LaMascus passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at her home in Hominy, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years six months and eight days. Donna was born March 20, 1937, in Wright City, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Robert Londen and Mildred Marie (Damron) McCurdy. As a young girl Donna was raised and received her education in Elmore City where she graduated from high school. Following high school Donna was united in marriage to O.C. LaMascus on April 29, 1956, in Elmore City. Following their marriage Donna and O.C. resided in Elmore City. They have also lived in Pauls Valley, Shawnee as well as Enid, Oklahoma. In 1974, Donna and O.C. moved to Hominy, Oklahoma where she has continued to reside. Following the death of her husband O.C., Donna worked at several different jobs. Some of them include the Hominy Rexall Drug and also helped during the holidays at the local flower shops. Donna loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren that she loved dearly. Thanksgiving was a very important time of year for her. She spent many hours preparing food with all the trimmings and took great pride in making her dressing. Donna was a member of the bowling league in Hominy for many years and active member of the ESA for over 30 years. Donna always looked towards attending her grandchildren's sporting events. That as a major part of enjoyment for Donna never missing the opportunity to go and watch them participate. Survivors are her children Cheryl Young and her husband Kelly of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Dani Mullins and her husband Jim of Hominy, Oklahoma; grandchildren Amanda and Matt Aldridge of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Patrick Rathbun and Jessica of Hominy, Oklahoma, Daniel Mullins of Hominy, Oklahoma, Matthew Mullins of Hominy, Oklahoma; Great-grandsons Ian Aldridge of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Gregory London Aldridge of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Jack Evans, Asher Head; great granddaughter Delaney Aldridge, Kimberly Rathbun, one brother Robert McCurdy and wife Peggy of Woodward, Oklahoma. In addition to her parents Donna was preceded in death by her husband O. C. LaMascus, one son Greg LaMascus, one brother Ben McCurdy and one sister Pamela Jones Church Services will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the First Christian Church in Hominy with Larry Stuart officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmore City Cemetery at 3:30 pm in Elmore City, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
