Donna Jo Trimble, a resident of Sand Springs was born January 14, 1950 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Donald Eugene and Willa Dean (Garrett) Brumley. As a young girl Donna grew up and attended school in Cleveland. While in school Donna was very active as a Cleveland Tiger Cheerleader for many years. Donna Jo graduated from Cleveland High School with the Class of 1968. Upon graduation Donna enrolled at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. Donna would return home in the summers and take classes at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. In December of 1971, Donna graduated from NSU with a Bachelors Degree. On August 15, 1971, Donna was united marriage to Randall E. Trimble at Cleveland, Oklahoma.
Donna accepted employment at Miami, Oklahoma her position allowed her to start the speech pathology curriculum for all of the schools in the district. In May of 1984, Donna and Randy moved to Sand Springs, Oklahoma where she accepted a position at Pratt Elementary. Donna retired from a life long position as an educator of children in July of 2004.
Donna loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed scrap booking, working in the yard as well as spending all day long shopping. Christmas time was also a very special time to Mrs. Trimble from the stockings to the toothpick holders. Donna and Randy also enjoyed traveling; she had many fond memories of the 25th Anniversary trip to Washington, D.C. Donna was a member of the Broadway Baptist Church in Sand Springs. She was a powerful Christian lady that had high morals.
Donna Jo went to be with her Lord and Saviour November 5, 2006, at her home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma at the age of 56 years 9 months and 21 days. She was preceded in death by her father and one sister Sharon Kay Henderson.
Survived by her loving husband, Randy of the home; daughter, MaRanda Kerley and husband Stephen of Bixby, Oklahoma; son, Zachary Trimble of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; mother, Willa Dean Brumley of Cleveland, Oklahoma; sister, Deanna Lemons and husband Jack of Cleveland, Oklahoma as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 9, 2006, at 10:00 am at the Broadway Baptist Church with Dr. Kent Choate officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 pm in the Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
