Donald McCoy Clemens passed from this life on October 20, 2021, at the age of 84.
Don was born on March 6, 1937, in Cushing, Oklahoma the son of Joe and Esther (Dunegan) Clemens. Don grew up and attended school in Cushing later moving to New Mexico and then to Belle Fourche, South Dakota. In the late 1950's Don returned to Oklahoma residing in Tulsa. Don gained employment with National Tank working as an electrical helper. He remained there until 1978, when he accepted a position with McGill Inc as the electrical foreman. Then in 1984, Don was united in marriage to Sandra Lou Lyman establishing their home in Cleveland, Oklahoma. In the early 1990's, Don started working for T.H. Russell retiring in 1999.
Don enjoyed being outside, especially sitting on the front porch. During his younger years Don enjoyed fishing, roping, horseback riding and never met a horse he didn't like. Taking time watching television especially westerns was one of his favorite things to do. You could always count on if you needed help Don would be there to help. Traveling to California to see family as well as vacations to Galveston where always memorable events. Don and Sandra attended New Hope in Muskogee for many years, and he was currently attending First Assembly of God in Cleveland. In honor of Don the family has asked for those in attendance wear something plaid or flannel.
Survivors include Steve Clemens and Linda Cauley of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Laura Robinson and her husband Shawn of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, two sisters, Jean Davis of Overton, Texas, Wanda Cargill of Shawnee, Oklahoma; grandchildren Katelyn and Miranda Robinson, Shawn and Damiena Wilson, Austin and Tyler Cauley and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents Don was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Clemens and one brother Bob Clemens.
Services will be held 10:30 am, Monday, October 25, 2021, at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Dan Edens officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
