Donald Joe Murders

Donald Joe Donnie Murders, formerly of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of forty-years, seven months and twenty-six days.

Donnie was born in Bakersfield, California on March 9, 1963. He was the son of John Daniel and Judy P. Murders. He moved with his family at an early age to Cleveland where he attended school, graduating from Cleveland High School in 1981. While attending Cleveland High School, Donnie was active in sports including football and wrestling.

Upon graduation from high school, Donnie moved to Oklahoma City for a couple of years before later moving to Phoenix, Arizona with his aunt. While residing in Phoenix, Donnie was employed as a produce manager for both Fyre's Grocery and Wal-Mart. Due to medical conditions Donnie was forced to retire recently.

Donnie's hobbies included playing bingo, fishing and he was an avid Arizona Diamondback fan. He was also enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Donnie is survived by two brothers, Robert and Kenny Murders, both of Bolivar, Missouri, and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, November 14, 2003 at the Woodland Cemetery with Pastor Dan Edens officiating. Services were under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
