Donald Fay Williams passed away peacefully on February 1st to join his previously passed family into their world of promised peace and comfort. Donald was born on February 16, 1934, in Ozark, Franklin Co, AR. During High School, he worked at the Hunters Horn as a print press man publishing the Sand Springs newspaper. After graduating from Charles Page H.S. in 1952, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He served as a medic at Altus AFB and stationed at an Air Force Base in Spain.
After Don’s service he attended Oklahoma State University (OSU), School of Business, graduating in 1961. While attending OSU, Don met his future wife, Ilaine Fox, and they married in 1960. Don’s career began after graduating OSU with his first job at Continental Emsco Oil Co, eventually moving back to Sand Springs; then in 1969 to Dallas, TX with Sinclair Oil Co. and later with Atlantic Richfield Oil Co, (ARCO) as a Budget Analyst. Don and his family were very active members of the Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church in Dallas for many years.
In 1986 Don married his second wife Esther Kalbas and enjoyed traveling all over the country in their RV visiting family, friends, and places. After separating from Ms. Kalbas in 2010, Don moved back to Cleveland OK, to be close to family, eventually rekindling his love with Ilaine. They remarried on January 22, 2017.
Don is preceded in death by his parents Jess Bert and Mary Veta Williams, Sister Mary Ramsey, his lifelong friend and Brother-in-Law Raymond Watson, Brother- in-Law Lawrence Hull and Nephew Paul Watson. Survivors include his wife, Ilaine, his four boys, Carl Williams of Dallas, TX, Robert Williams of Louisville, KY, Charles Williams, and Wife Shelly of Mannford, OK, and David Williams of Cleveland, OK. Five Grandchildren, Ashley Warbritton and Husband Ryan of Vilonia, AR, Brian Williams of Louisville, KY, Ryan Williams, and Fiancé Emily Randell of Mannford, OK, Dana Williams of Louisville, KY, Audrey Williams of Dallas, TX, and one Great Grandson Liam Williams of Mannford, OK, Sisters Doris Hull of Sand Springs, OK, Louise Cable and Husband Kay of Cleveland, OK, and many other extended family members throughout Oklahoma and beyond.
In lieu of flowers, you may make memoriam to his Church, Presbyterian Methodist Fellowship Church or to Escape Ministries.
