Dierk Norman Fieldcamp entered the gates of heaven on July 15th, 2006 at the age of 84. He was born to John William and Stella Catherine Fieldcamp on July 3rd, 1922 in Terton, Oklahoma, a place he called home for eighty-three years of his life! Norman graduated from Terlton High School in 1940 where he excelled academically and athletically. His life was spent farming and working in the oil industrhy. He retired at the age of 76 from Nadel & Gussman Oil Company. He was preceded in death by his wives Genevieve Avers and Inez Bohannon, his parents and brothers Thomas and Willis Fieldcamp, one sister Virginia Lund, and his beloved daughter, Nadine. He is survived by his daughter Catherine and her husband, Dan, who became the son he never had. Additionally he is survived by four special grandchildren-Tammie, Cristi, John and Victoria as well as four greatgrandchildren---Skylar, Anthony, Derek and Reisy Catherine. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Clara Fieldcamp as well as many relatives and friends. He is also survived by his life-long best friend, Floyd Spencer.
As a young boy, Norman determined the path of his life---one of looking for the good and finding it in everyone he met. He exemplified an overcoming spirit throughout his life, and he believed and lived Phillippians 4:13--- I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me! He set a standard of excellence and commitment to others that will never be forgotten. Well done, thy good an faithful servant.
Services are scheduled for ten-oclock Monday July 17th, 2006 in Chapman-Black Chapel, Cleveland, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at the Terlton Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
