Deloris Ann “Dee” Gerstle was born on December 12, 1939, in Drumright, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Robert Louis and Bessie Ann (Southard) Smith. Dee lived most of her life in and around Cleveland and Hominy. Graduating high school with the Class of 1958. She was united in marriage to Marvin Tedder in 1959. Together they have one daughter Cynthia. Deloris and Marvin later divorced in 1979. In 1980, Dee was united in marriage to Jerry Gerstle they made their home in Cleveland until 1994. In 1994, the couple moved to Sand Springs where they both worked at the Tulsa Boys Home. After three and a half years, Dee began working at Wal-Mart and worked as a sales clerk for over ten years. Dee was a member of the Fisher Baptist Church in Sand Springs.
Deloris passed from this life on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at the age of 79 in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
Survivors include her daughter Cindy Tedder of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, sister Sharon and Skeet Rasberry of Avant, Oklahoma, three grandsons, Kevin Watkins and Desiree Bozone, Bryan Smith, Derek and Brandi Smith, great grandchildren Randi, Cayson, Chance, Riot, Connor, Scarlett, and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry who was not only her husband but also her best friend, two brothers Clyde Smith and Bob Smith and one sister Linda Bridge.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 17, 2019, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Terlton Cemetery in Terlton, Oklahoma.
