Della Marie Kapple

Della Marie Kapple, age 78, passed from this life on March 19, 2019, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born March 24, 1940, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Della is the daughter of Charles Arthur and Velma Lyle (Morris) Freise. She grew up and met the love of her life in Oakhurst, Oklahoma. On April 30, 1956, she was united in marriage to Eddie Kapple. The couple continued to make their home in Oakhurst before moving to the Oakland Bay area near San Leandro, California. In 1962, they returned to Tulsa in the Red Fork area. In 1970, they moved to the Maramec area where they raised their three children and have continued to reside.

Della has been a member of The First Baptist Church of Hallett since the 1970’s. She taught Children’s classes and played piano there for many years. Della loved playing and singing music. She taught herself to play several different instruments. She also painted beautiful landscapes. Della followed her passion for music and beautiful scenery by going on trips to Mt. View, Arkansas to listen to the Blue Grass music and to join in playing when she got the chance. Della and Eddie took long extended trips throughout the United States visiting numerous National Parks. Della enjoyed music, art, and learning new things, but what she enjoyed the most was being a Nana and spending time loving her grandkids and great grandkids.

Della is survived by her husband Eddie of the home; three children: Terry Kapple of Maramec, Oklahoma, Randy Kapple and his wife Tammy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kim Gruenwald and her husband David of Pawnee, Oklahoma; siblings: Beverly Beasley of Kansas City, Kansas, Gerald Freise of Marysville, California; seven grandchildren: Brian Kapple, David Kapple, Tiffany King, Daniel Kapple, Zachary Kapple, Emily Gruenwald, Timberlyn Gruenwald; and seven great-grandchildren: Caitlyn Kapple, Brianna Thompson, Kaygan Kapple, Donovan Kapple, Wesley Kapple, Nicholas King, and Madison King. Della is preceded in death by her parents, brother Gary Freise, and sister June.

Visitation for Della will be held Friday, March 22, 2019, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Services for Della will be held Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Hallett, Oklahoma. A committal service will be held at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 2:00 PM. Pallbearers are Brian Kapple, David Kapple, Zachary Kapple, Donovan Kapple, Wesley Kapple, and Jose’ Ayala. Services are under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
