Debra Kalikolehua Pederson passed from this life on September 24, 2020, at the age of 63 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Debbie was born on May 11, 1957, in Ft. Riley, Kansas. She was the daughter of Stillman David and Lena Kapuahealani (Antone) Callison. Debbie was raised in her native state of Hawaii until the age of ten. At that time, she moved with her parents to Vacaville, California. Following the completion of her education, Debbie moved to Wisconsin in 1973. On January 20, 1973, Debbie was united in marriage to Garen Miles Pederson. While residing in Osseo, Debbie began working for Walmart. In 2000, Debbie and Garen moved to Cleveland, and she transferred to the Cleveland Walmart where she was currently employed. Debbie and Garen attended the Christian Covenant Ministry and Theology at Covenant Life Bible College. She graduated with her doctorate in Theology in 2010 and was currently a professor at the World Bible Theological Seminary in Tulsa.
Debbie loved being outdoors was one of many things she loved. She and Garen would take trips on the motorcycle, go to concerts, and visiting family. Debbie taught herself how to play the guitar and was very avid about learning and living the Hawaiian Culture. She made crafts, crocheting, sewing, cooking, and baking were also favorite pastimes. Her and Garen’s life reached numerous people. They adopted lots of kids and people and always referred to them as part of their family.
Survivors include her husband Garen of the home; four children Phil Pederson and his wife Amy, her grandchildren Christian and Paige Pederson, Chazz Lindmeier, Cody Schlinsog, great grandchildren Gabriel and Amelia Lindmeier, Vicky Doeslaere and Alan Power her three children Creed, Krynn, and Gideon Doeslaere; Vanessa Pederson, Veronica Pederson and Dain Livingston their son Lucas Livingston; siblings Moana Sanchez of California, Stillman David Callison, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Winters, California, Vanessa Lentino and her husband Pete of Vacaville, California, Jake Callison and his wife Paula of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Mahi Vicochea and her husband Gilbert of Vacaville, California and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm, October 1, 2020, at the Reach Church in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. With Pastor Chad Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm, Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
