David D. Summar of Terlton, Oklahoma passed away on March 19, 2018, at the age of 74 years, 5 months and twenty-seven days.
David was born September 23, 1943, in Roswell, New Mexico. He was the son of Dewitt and Frieda Bell (Thiem) Summar. David lived in Greenwood, Texas and Centrailia, MO, then in 1963 moved to Sand Spring. He began working at Horner Box working there for 13 years. On September 1, 1965, David moved to Sherman, Texas. David returned back to Sand Springs in 1972, accepting employment with Superior Surfacing. Following 18 years of service, David retired in the Fall of 2009, from Custo Fab.
David enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed collecting things. David liked tinkering on his VW. He loved his family and was always happy never having a bad day. David loved to go on car rides to look around which usually were by the way of the backroads.
David is survived by his wife Brenda, two children Angela Braden of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Kathy Allen and her husband Alfred of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two brothers Tom Summar of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Dan Summar of Silver City, Oklahoma; three sisters Christine Rose of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Frieda Fay Ford of Drumright, Oklahoma; Martha Doss of Bristow, Oklahoma, four grandchildren Jesse Braden, Josh Allen, Vanessa Boatner, Stephanie Hayes; one great grandson Trevor Hayes as well as many other relatives and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents Dewitt and Frieda Summar as well as one brother Bruce Summar.
