David Burl Callison passed away on Monday August 5, 2013 at his home in Hominy, Oklahoma. David was born on January 6, 1947, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was the son of Robert E. and Ona Alene (Funkhouser) Callison. David began his education in Ponca City and later graduated from St. Mary's High School with the Class of 1966. Following high school David attended college and was later united in marriage to Teresa Jean Garrett on August 16, 1968. The couple soon moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. David has worked at several places and some of them include Spartan Aeronautics, Boeing, Allied Signal, Airflow Technologies and is currently employed at Webco. David worked in the maintenance department and he could fix anything that was broke. He is described by his family as a ìmechanical genius.î David loved being outdoors. His love for outdoors is one of the reasons in 1998; he and Terri purchased their property in Osage County. David was also a gun enthusiast and enjoyed reloading ammunition. David liked to stay busy either at work or at home. Most of all out of life David loved being with his family that he loved dearly. Survivors are his wife Terri of the home, two children Dana Yadon and her husband Tim of Hominy, Oklahoma, Darin B Callison and his wife Jen of Tulsa, Oklahoma, one sister Dona Hendrix of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; five grandchildren Rowan and Jaxson Callison, Timothy, Emily and Garrett Yadon. He was preceded in death by his father Robert E Callison and mother Ona Alene Callison.
