David Baglin

David Daniel Baglin passed from this life on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at his home in Terlton, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years, one month and twenty days. David was born October 4, 1932 in Los Angeles, California. He was the son of Daniel and Irene Evonne (Nelson) Baglin. David was raised and received his education in Los Angeles. At the completion of his education he joined the United States Navy. During his time in the Navy, David served on USS Baltimore. On May 5, 1954, David was honorably discharged in Boston, Massachusetts. He immediately returned to the Los Angeles area and gained employment in the aviation industry with Lockheed. David was soon united in marriage and to that union there is one child Linda. David later began working at McDonnell Douglas where he worked as an aircraft painter. David was later united in marriage to Joyce Dean Peltier on November 13, 1967. David continued working for Douglas until the closure of the facility in 1979. They then moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. David was transferred to the Tulsa facility where he worked until 1995. While working at McDonnell Douglas, David worked on several Top Secret projects. David and Joyce have resided in their current home since early 2000. David enjoyed working on cars and rebuilding engines. He also was a hot rod buff and enjoyed going to the casino when he was able. Survivors are his wife Joyce of the home; five children Linda Baglin, Laraine Burklin and her husband David of Terlton, Oklahoma, David Baglin, Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sheri McCormack and her husband David of Owasso, Oklahoma, Ted Rahm of Bixby, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents David was preceeded in death by his sister Shirley Baglin, three brothers Charles Baglin, Donald Baglin and Leroy Baglin. Chapel Services will be held 10:30 am Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Rev. David Head officiating. Private burial will follow in the Terlton Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
