Funeral services for Darren Fain will be held Thursday, December 23, 2004 at 2:00 pm in the Sanctuary of the Assembly of God Church in Jennings with Rev. J. W. Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Jennings Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
Darren Shawn Fain was born April 29, 1971 in Berring Springs, Michigan to Robert Len, Sr. and Aloha Eileen Brooks Fain. As a young child Darren was raised and educated in the Wisconsin and Colorado AreaÃs. Darren soon began working for his father in the asphalt business. He later started his own business D Fain Asphalt Paving in the Spring Green Area of Wisconsin. While living in the Spring Green Area Darren met his soon to be wife Lana Alexis Fain. On September 2, 1996 Darren was united in marriage to Lana at Spring Green, Wisconsin. They made their initial home in Spring Green but in the winters Jennings was their home. In 2001 Darren and Lana made Jennings their permanent residence.
Darren loved to fish, starting building projects as well as traveling to Canada and Colorado. He also loved being in the outdoors and with his family that he loved very much. Darren was an active member of the Assembly of God Church in Jennings.
Darren passed away Thursday December 16, 2004 in Kealakekua, Hawaii unexpectedly at the age of 33 years 7 months and 17 days. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather.
Survived by his wife, Lana Fain, of the home; three children, Catherine Fain, Darren Fain, Jr., Isiah Weyer all of the home; parents, Robert Len Fain, Sr. and Aloha Eileen Fain of Hanceville, Alabama; two brothers, Robert Fain, Jr. of Hanceville, Alabama; Jesse Fain, Sr. of Hanceville, Alabama; one sister Melissa Fowler of Hanceville, Alabama; paternal grandmother, Wanda Fain of Miami, Oklahoma as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
