Cody Daniel Mcmillan

Funeral services for Cody Daniel McMillan of Blackburn, Oklahoma will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 10:30 am in the Sanctuary of the Terlton Baptist Church. Services will be officiated by Rev. Louis Speck and Rev. Dean Switzer. Burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.

Cody McMillan was born May 4, 1988 in Tulsa, Oklahoma the son of Gary L. and Sandra E. (Day) McMillan. Cody grew up in the Blackburn and Cleveland area. He began attending Cleveland Public Schools in the third grade. While in school Cody was very active in football, baseball and wrestling.

Cody enjoyed spending time outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting, horseback riding as well as jumping bicycles. Cody also took pleasure in spending time with his friends and family. At the age of 14, Cody was baptized at Terlton Baptist Church where he was a member.

Cody passed away Saturday, March 3, 2007 in Blackburn, Oklahoma at the age of 18 years 9 months and 29 days. He was preceded in death by his mother Sandra in 1997, paternal grandparents, Bernie L. McMillan and Peggy Lucille Billingsly.

Survived by his parents, Gary and Helen McMillan of the home; two brothers, Clinton McMillan of Adair, Oklahoma; Toby Rider of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, April McMillan of Coweta, Oklahoma; Brandy Bell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; maternal grandparents, Dalton and Doreen Day of Coweta, Oklahoma, one niece, Sarah McMillan of Coweta, Oklahoma as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Adam Hall, Brad Harvey, Lantz Day, Lantz Day II, John Donnley, and Paula Donnley. Honorary pallbearers will include Scott Blankenship, and Anthony McMillan.
