Clyde Wayne Johnson longtime resident of Cleveland, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at the OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years, seven months and twelve days. Wayne was born November 11, 1947, in McAlester, Oklahoma.  He was the son of Hubert Joe and Dorothy Mae (Hayes) Johnson.  Wayne began school in Crowder, Oklahoma where he later graduated.  Following graduation Wayne joined the United States Army Reserve.  Wayne also began working for Crandell Earth Moving operating heavy equipment for his parents company.  During this time Wayne served his country honorably until April of 1972.  Wayne later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he gained employment with Prairie Construction and later began working as a field superintendent for Trammell Construction.   On August 13, 1980, Wayne was united in marriage to Mary Louise Reel in Miami, Oklahoma.  The two remained in Tulsa for several years and during that time Wayne opened Southwest Tulsa Small Engine Clinic.  He owned and operated that until they moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma in 1986.  Soon after they moved to Cleveland; Wayne accepted employment with the City of Cleveland.  He worked in phases for the city and at his retirement in 1995.  Wayne loved to fish and visit the Hickory House.  He was a self-taught guitarist as well as wonderful dancer.  Wayne enjoyed taking his kids camping when they were younger and would usually go near Gore, Oklahoma.  Wayne was a very loving person as well as compassionate.  He had a special place in his heart for animals and mankind.  He was a very active supporter of SPCA, Pound Pals.  He was also member of Rotary and Chamber of Commerce.  Wayne was a very devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Cleveland. Survivors are his loving wife Mary of the home; four children Starlon D. Johnson of Texas, Tracy Reel of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Jon Reel of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Nathan Johnson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; siblings Carl D. Johnson and his wife Mandy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Connie Black and her husband Richard of McAlester, Oklahoma, Carol Giacomo and her hsuband Kenny, Cherry Harris and her husband Jeff of Eufaula, Oklahoma; two grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents Hubert Johnson, Dorothy Crandell, stepfather Jack Crandell, son Daniel Johnson, brothers Greg Johnson and Christopher Crandell.   Wayne's service will be Saturday, June 27, 2015 – 10:30 at the First Baptist Church in Cleveland, Oklahoma with Rev. Gregory J. Hall officiating.  Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery.     Friends may share a memory with the family at the funeral home or online at www.chapman-black.com
