Clarence Harold ìRedî Pense longtime resident of Cleveland, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the age of 86 years three months and eleven days. Red was born on December 16, 1924 in Cromwell, Oklahoma. He was the son of Archiabold Yale and Maggie Alice (Faust) Pense. As a young boy Red moved with his family to the Cleveland area beginning his education at the Scrappin Ridge School. He later completed his high school education at the Cleveland High School graduating with the Class of 1942. After high school Red began working in town at Kenyon Brothers, working for Ora Leake. He then accepted a position with Campbell and Thomas Service Station. After some time Red purchased his own station FredÃs Place. Being the genius that Red is he painted the ìFî on the sign to make it RedÃs Place. After several years Red sold the operation and began working at a station on south Broadway, later known as Red DotÃs. Red then accepted employment with the Rural Electric Association (REA) which is now known as the Indian Electric Cooperative. Red began working with the brush crew and when he retired was a lineman after thirty-two years of service. Red loved to play the harmonica, often going to the local bank and IEC during St. PatrickÃs Day to play a tune for his friends and neighbors. He also planted a garden yearly sharing his crop with friends and family. Red and Alma loved taking their camper to area lakes and resorts. Red also enjoyed the times spent at their lake home on Ft. Gibson and Grand Lake. Most of all Red was a man that would do anything for anyone if you asked. Survivors are his nephews Charlie Dell and his wife Jody of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Buster Dell and his wife Penny of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Gary Wayne Vance his wife Gail of Pawnee, Oklahoma, Don Brisbin and his wife Mary of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Leonard Leake, Jr. his wife Ramona of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Corky Leake of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Billy Edward Leake and his wife Opal of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Steve Brisbin of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Mark Brisbin and his wife Daisy of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Jackie Brisbin of Michigan, Billy Brisbin of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Paul Brisbin and his wife Mona of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Charlie Hammack of Durant, Oklahoma; nieces, Debbie Gilbert and her husband David of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Lonnie Medwid of Florida, Janie McGuire of Stroud, Oklahoma, Jackie Mitchell and her husband John of Maramec, Oklahoma, Ina Sissom of Drumright, Oklahoma, Carolyn Jordan of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, two sisters in law Eva Lois Brisbin-Weldon of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Helen Brisbin of Cleveland, Oklahoma as well as a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn hispassing. Red was preceded in death by his parents Archiabold and Maggie Pense, wife Alma Pense on January 27, 2011; five sisters Lillie Weather, Millie Hutchison, Grace Smith, Virginia Jordan, Elsie Wilson and one brother, Jack Pense.
