Christopher Lee Brown, 36, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Chris was born January 7, 1977 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was the son of Richard Dale and Patricia Lea (Mattingly) Brown. As a young man Chris grew up in Tulsa and attended East Central School. After completing his education Chris began working for BD & J Inc. He worked for them for nearly 10 years as a metal fabricator. Chris then gained employment with Champion Concrete Sawing where he worked for several years. Following an accident which left him a paraplegic, Chris found himself unable to do the things he once was able to do. He strived to gain his mobility back and worked hard every day to overcome his disability. Chris loved to go fishing, camping, swimming as well as going to the drag races. He enjoyed spending his summers at Walnut Creek, Oologah Lake as well as Flynt Creek. Chris is described as a very funny, awesome and very energetic person. He also had a tender heart and would do many things to help people without them knowing it. Survivors are his two children Jefferey Brown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Wiley Brown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, mother Pat Hungerford of Cleveland, Oklahoma, sister Sherry Brown of Collinsville, Oklahoma; brother Jerry Brown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, niece Stormie Brown of Collinsville, Oklahoma; nephew Blaine Strong of Jennings, Oklahoma, great nephew Clayton Kitchens of Collinsville, Oklahoma and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by father Richard Brown. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, March 8, 2013 at First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Dan Edens officiating.
