Chrissie S. Clark

Chrissie Sue Patterson Clark passed from this life on October 8, 2018, at the age of 59. She was born to Russel and Vera “Punkin” (Yarbrough) Patterson on March 26, 1959. Attending school in Prue, Chrissie played basketball and acted in plays prior to graduating in 1978.

Chrissie worked at Dover steel shop in Sand Springs. She operated Papaw’s Burgers in Prue for many years. Playing cards at the Elk’s Lodge and Bunko Wednesday nights with the girls, Chrissie greatly enjoyed the company of others.

The open road is where Chrissie wanted to be. Road trips with family and friends were her favorite times. Going to El Chico, garage & estate sales, a vacation to Arkansas were all things Chrissie greatly looked forward to. Sales around the holidays and on Black Friday were things she also loved. She spent many hours looking for family photos and researching family heritage.

Vollie Clark united with her in marriage around 1983. Although they had no children, she loved her nieces and nephews like her own children. During her road trips she would buy meals or find a new gift for “the kids”.

Surviving Chrissie is her husband, sister, Robin Bryan and brother Terry Patterson. Chrissie also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents.

Services remembering Chrissie’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, October 12, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Prue, Oklahoma. She will be laid to rest next her parents in Prue Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
